    I use an 8 yr old, Nikon D700/w battery pack and the new 80-400AFS (animals and bird photography) lens and a 24-70 f2.8 (scenic and panoramas) lens. The 80-400 is the lightest and most versatile safari lens I have used. I also carry a point and shoot Nikon P7700 for “boma” family friends pics. Recently I got a new Fuji X100s and will put that camera thru its paces at my next safari trip….. :-).
